Among the shadowy regions of Xythan, none are safe. This land has never been documented by any human. Those who were brave enough to enter the Sidiosik never came back to tell the tale. Yet...there was one. A man by the name of Ulglef managed to escape Xythan alive. Although, some argue that Ulglef was never actually alive when he exited the Sidiosik. Ulglef was screaming in tongues never heard in his homeland, he trembled madly as if he had just been chased away by a thousand ghosts. For a few moments, the man continued his demonic rage, then eventually collapsed. After his collapse, his fellow townsmen carried him to a nearby shelter, where he eventually woke to the faces of the townspeople crowding around his bed.
"The wolves!" Ulglef shrieked, his eyes opening widely, his fingers digging into the surface of his bed. The townspeople stared at him, dumbfounded. What was he talking about? Wolves hadn't been seen around there since the days of King Arthur. The people awaited Ulgelf's next words eagerly. "The wolves! Bigger than any ever spoke of! Wings! THEY HAD WINGS, WINGS LIKE A DRAGON!" Ulglef screamed hoarsely. A woman gasped. She had heard about these wolves only in legends. Some were wolves of normal appearance, yet they possesed amazing strength. Some had huge wings mounted to their backs, enanbling then to fly. Some were so frightening, you'd be scared to death as soon as you laid eyes on them.
The townspeople murmured to themselves, and being a very supersticious people, they we all quite frightened. A shrieking chorus of questions spouted from the crowd. "What shall we do?" "Should we abandon the town?" "Will these wolves come after us?"
All those questions were left unanswered, for Ulglef had died from his earlier injuries. The whole village was thrown into a state of panic, and some were too scared to even leave their houses. Some leave the comfort of their homes to enter the Sidiosik, to find these wolves. None of them came back. The townspeople only know one truth.
Ulglef was right about these wolves.
No one has entered the Sidiosik in three years.
Yet the town still lives in fear of these mythical canines.
Now it's your turn. Enter the Sidiosik at the edge of town, and run...or fly with the wolves of Xythan.
